Brief Summary of the past month

Ok, so I have been inactive for awhile…Put the blame on this awesome new RTS game. Starcraft II.

It is so addictive it got me hooked to my computer playing this adrenaline rushed game for hours… frustrated over lost missions and feeling relief after completing one.

If you haven’t tried it yet, be sure to do so! It is one of the deepest RTS I’ve ever played.

Ok, some update on my life…I have been working out trying to get that stomach of mine down the drain….and all the while trying to put on weight while avoiding that double chin that everyone is telling me that I have… =))

Went to Kai Hua ( Kaelyn) ‘s 21st birthday party the other day at Orchard Central… It was ok…wasn’t that high but was not bored at any point of time either….met up with some old friends and chit chat through =) **Only regret was my hair on that day…chui like =_= **

Oh and I got a treat from Colin yesterday at some Jap restaurant…And I must say…the service there is quite bad….lolx…Luckily it did not spoil our mood..Oh and i was lazy to wear contacts that day…thus the specs… hahas…I look nerd…

I look Innocent...no?

So yup, that sort of sums up my life in the past weeks…Oh and I watched this movie called ‘Love in Disguise’ which quite nice…other than the ‘跨张’ acting…but well, its a ROM-COM…so if the acting was normal, it would look weird hahas…

Unlucky stuff happens…But non is as ‘spectacular’ as this: Goggle spoiling the very minute I decide to plunge into the water

How unlucky can one get? Seriously. My goggle just went ‘piak’ and it broke into half.

Oh and something I realized, I seems to have problem typing goggle…I have to backspace everytime or I will end up typing google instead…bahs..

To be honest, I haven’t swim for ages..and the first two laps took me out completely… I felt like dying, having trouble breathing properly…but things get better as I swam more and more laps…

Feels so good after a workout… =)

Oh btw,

十八般武藝 is out… but I cant seem to find it online…wondering if I should buy it… should I?

Avatar : The last airbender ( dancer )?

Went out with the poly mates today to watch Avatar : The last airbender.

Seriously, I have trouble categorizing this movie… If it’s trying to do an imitation of Lord of the Rings, then it failed terribly. Not only was the pace slow, the fights are choppy and throughout the movie, you are wondering if there will be a climax ( If there is any ).

The soldiers at times, looked so confused during fight scenes they seem like they have just stepped into the wrong set. It may be partly due to the fact that extra movements are required to manipulate the elements. ( Imagine doing 2 back flips just to send fire towards your enemy )

To make matters worst, I was told that its a trilogy after it ended in a way that makes me wonder if i am watching power ranger..

Huh?

So, days passed and here I am again, alive and kicking. Things that I’ve learned recently:

1) # trends stuff at twitter

2) girls will always be girls, same goes for boys.

3) some feelings don’t go away with time, on the contrary, it becomes stronger with time.

4) bafana bafana stands for south Africa.

5) HDR shots are nice if done and processed properly.

6) 2 years can really destroy a person’s life and potential. Especially when the 2 years fall in the prime.

7) I could really use some long month relaxation vacation.

Recently, have been touching on the sentence, ‘ You never know what you treasure till you lose it ‘

Humans are engineered in a weird way. We response mostly because status quo shifts. And because of that, we almost always take everything for granted. The people around us, the people whom we cared and the things that matters to us. Feelings are only felt when we lose something. We almost always only realize the importance and impact someone has to our life when they are not in our life.

This mechanism that we are equipped with can be branched out to such great magnitude that almost every topic can be a thesis of its own.

The question we should ask ourselves now is , ‘ What now ? That we know about this fact. Should we cherish the things around us? ‘

We may proclaim that we will start to cherish everything dear to us from now on. But saying it and doing it is a different issue.

The everything that we so called proclaim, actually applies only to things that we are aware of.

Just go try out the invisible gorilla test. It proves that humans, when focused on a certain task, will most likely miss out events that we don’t expect to happen.

Trust me, its kinda cool.

Monday Blues

So Monday ended just like that…

1) I did not have that dream yesterday(good news)

2) I will be having a new insoles in 6 weeks time. (good news)

3) Had steamboat for dinner. (good news)

4) tomorrow I am still on leave (good news)

However, despite all these, somehow, I still feel like something is missing…

A night to remember

Haven’t been blogging for the past few weeks…due to a concoction of laziness and lack of time.

Went out with Colin, Jia Hock, Fan Sheng and Mellissa today. Went to eat at some japanese restaurant at Ion. The food there was quite delicious. However, the price is abit steep. Look at what i ordered. The look of it is enough to make one hungry…

After that, we went to eat ice cream at some shop called Gusttimo i think.

Looks tasty too eh! But i dint order it hahas!

After that, went to meet up with *** at stadium as *** have to buy some Jay Chou stuff. After one round of buying, we went back to town to walk about as *** wanted to know where Scape was. Upon arrival at Scape, we saw Lee Teng inside Stage, tending his stall…all i can say is, he looked cool with that spec of his. Anyway, walked past ‘ Once Upon a milkshake’ and decided to take a snapshot of it…

Look at how cosy it is….wish I can patron here one day with the right person…=/ Time will tell… Anyway, at the top of Scape there’s this arcade that have this game called BillaBowl…or something…Its a combination of Billard and Bowling…Kinda cool…You use the cue stick to hit the ball to strike pins…lolx…oh and *** was so fascinated by the doll catching machine she decided to take a snap shot of it…

After touring around Scape, we went to 313 and I have to emphasize, *** Shopped at Forever 21 which is like 4 storey big… I can understand why its a girl’s heaven lolx… After that, we went back to Stadium for some 2nd round shopping of Jay Chou merchandise and listened to his concert from outside. And just like this, my first concert experience with *** began…It was a fun and unique one. I mean, who will enjoy a concert by listening to it outside the hall and peeking in occasionally to get a glimpse of the big screen? hahas! Not to mention lots and lots of dodging from the Security Guards…But i have to say, Jay is really a decent singer…Oh and I learnt something today… Always go for the last day of the concert…It will definitely be better…

Totally exhaust myself today, using my last ounce of energy to blog…but what’s important is that today was an enjoyable day…for me, for *** and hopefully for the rest of the peeps….that’s all that matters right? At the end of the day, a smile or a simple sign of gratitude ease away all the fatigue in people…

Oh and I killed a fly with my teeth today, leaving my tongue numb even now…how cool is that lolx..

I have been having this dream for awhile…and each time I have it, its the same scene and same ending…and that saddens me…

I heard that dreams are the exact opposite of reality…I certainly hope so…And hopefully when the time comes, the phrase holds true….or I might really have trouble holding back my tears…

Hopefully tonight will be a better night without any that dream….

MIAMI (AP) — Chris Bosh wants to contend for a championship. Dwyane Wade wants some star-powered help.

The simplest solution, apparently, was for them to team up in Miami.

A person with knowledge of the decision told The Associated Press on Wednesday that Bosh decided to join the Heat and play alongside Wade, another All-Star free agent. Bosh told Wade it was “definite,” says the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because no contracts had been signed and no one authorized the person to reveal the decision publicly.

Still unclear, however, is this: Whether Miami’s acquisition of Bosh will come through a simple free-agent signing or a sign-and-trade deal with the Toronto Raptors.

ESPN first reported Bosh’s decision.

TNT’s David Aldridge reports that as of Tuesday evening, Bosh officially eliminated the Cleveland Cavaliers from his list of potential destinations in any kind of sign-and-trade deal that might occur if he does land with the Heat.

Bosh and Wade are friends, were Olympic teammates on the gold-medal team in Beijing, dined together at times during the free-agent interview process last week in Chicago and were part of that star-studded draft class in 2003 – Bosh went fourth, Wade fifth.

Now all eyes turn to the No. 1 pick in that class, LeBron James. The two-time MVP plans to say which team he’ll play for next on ESPN Thursday night.

Bosh, Wade and James have talked about playing together. If that plan is to be truly hatched, it would have to happen in Miami.

Henry Thomas, the agent for both Bosh and Wade, did not return calls or e-mails early Wednesday from the AP. Calls to Wade and two representatives for the 2006 NBA finals MVP also were not returned.

Bosh and Wade could formally become teammates as soon as Thursday, when the NBA moratorium on signing contracts expires. Under NBA rules, the Heat cannot confirm any contracts until 12:01 a.m. Thursday, although players are allowed to agree to deals before the signing window opens.

“I have nothing official from anyone,” Raptors general manager Bryan Colangelo said in a text message to the AP.

The Raptors do have several sign-and-trade options from teams interested in acquiring Bosh, who averaged career-bests of 24.0 points and 10.8 rebounds last season for Toronto.

Wade said when free agency began that he would likely only stay in Miami if the Heat lured either Bosh or LeBron James to South Florida.

Miami came into the free-agent period with around $44 million of cap space, not including $16 million or so earmarked for Wade, thanks to years of avoiding just about any deal where money would have been committed for the 2010-11 season.

“We want to build a dynasty,” Heat president Pat Riley had told fans entering free agency.

Bosh and Wade would be a pretty good start.

The Heat lack the salary-cap space to give Bosh, Wade and James all the maximum amounts they would be entitled to receive in their next contracts, so what would likely happen — again, if the scenario came together — was each player agreeing to take a bit less in base salary for 2010-11. If that happens, then they would probably receive contracts allowing them to become free agents again in three years if they wanted.

Miami does have the room to give Bosh and Wade max deals, although would still have to do some bargain-shopping to fill its roster for the coming year. As of Wednesday morning, Miami had only Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers under contract for 2010-11.

The expectation around the Heat for months – for years, really – was that Wade would have a flirtation with free agency, then return to Miami for a six-year contract that could have been worth around $125 million, maybe a bit more or less depending on what the salary cap number for the coming 2010-11 season is.

Wade fed that assumption, saying countless times that he wanted to stay in Miami if the roster was upgraded to a championship-contending level. That rather ambiguous caveat took a more exact shape in recent days, and the Heat were clearly on edge when Wade took two meetings with the Chicago Bulls, his hometown team.

Days later, Wade will be apparently able to say he got what he wanted all along.

And Come tomorrow, if Lebron announced signing with Heats, look out, the new ‘Big 3′ is gonna be a force for the next few years to come.

Haven’t been blogging much recently, the minute I reach home these days, I only feel like sleeping, or just nua-ing at my comfy bed hahas….

But every once in a while, things don’t go your way and here I am, writing out, in hope that things will get better.

All i can say is, regrets and more regrets…. constantly reminding myself not to be consumed by it. Life moves on still, no matter what…

A favorite passage from Tuesdays with Morrie:

Universal Studio after work on Friday…Terrible weather but nontheless, we had fun i guess…went back home with a headache…oh well…

On a side note, these few days kinda suck, I mean, I don’t feel that bad, but I don’t really feel that good too. Monday started off awesome but after that, things just took a plunge downwards. I hate to feel this way but what can I do? Being emotional and all aren’t gonna change anything. But I sometimes feel like, there can be more…if only.

Just read a post from Fel’s blog and it dawns to me how many things in Life are out of our control. We want the best of everything but that never happens in Life. We have to make sacrifices every now and then. And with every sacrifice, we remove something and move on in what we call Life….

於是我給你笑容..誰在乎我的心, 還會不會寂寞...
